Ribbon Engineer (L2) Contract

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation and support all Ribbon nodes in the network.
• Provide Level 2 support for Ribbon products, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
related to PSTN, VOLTE, SIP, and other associated protocols.
• Manage and resolve complex customer issues escalated from L1 support team.
• Monitor and troubleshoot voice related incidents to identify the root cause and ensure swift and effective resolution.
• Perform regular technical analysis to ensure the optimization and quality PSTN services.
• Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and
implement corrective actions.
• Conduct testing and verification of every migrated FNO configurations to ensure they meet
regulatory and service requirements.
• Generate reports, analyse roaming service KPIs, and contribute to the improvement of processes
and procedures.
• Document and maintain detailed records of all support activities, including resolutions,
troubleshooting steps, and partner interactions.
• Change implementation.
• Support the PSTN migration from TDM to IP.
• Handle communications with FNO Partner.
• Build knowledge and manage daily operation activities to high efficiency.
• Collaborate with our Partners and internal stakeholders to identify issue and fixes incidents within
the agreed service SLA.
• Be part of an on-call shift rotation pool.
• Availability to work occasionally during nights and weekends to provide support for urgent issues or scheduled maintenance.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mobile core network operations.
• Deep understanding of mobile network related protocols and technologies such as SS7, Diameter, GTP, MAP, SIP, RTP and IP-based protocols.
• Strong technical knowledge on fixed network, VoIP, LTE, VoLTE, including core network elements and architecture.
• Multiyear experience on Ribbon products (DSI, GSX, PSX, SBC, SGX).
• Experience with monitoring tools, troubleshooting techniques, and performance analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with trace reading and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to international roaming services.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CKA, OpenStack COA is advantageous.
• Configuration implementation experience.
